HOW TO APPLY FOUNDATION, CONCEALER AND POWDER. (GETTING A FLAWLESS LOOK)

Hi everyone!!!
How was your day?  I hope you all enjoyed your weekend, I did. So I have had a lot of people ask me how to apply foundation and what type of foundation to use. The questions usually asked are:
-What do you use for a particular skin tone?
           - Do I use my finger tips?
- Do I use a brush?
- Do I use a sponge?

First of all the most important rule to keep in mind is, when applying your foundation you don't want to put too much on. Keep it light!!!

APPLYING FOUNDATION WITH YOUR FINGER TIPS:

Put a small amount of foundation on the back of your hand, apply using index finger then spread around your face using the middle finger.  Remember not to apply pass your jaw, then pat any excess on the neck.

1. Put a small quantity at the back of your hand                        2. Apply foundation using index finger.. tips..

3.  Foundation..
                                                                                                         4. Spread using middle finger...

APPLYING FOUNDATION WITH YOU BRUSH:
Put a little foundation on the back of your hand, just as shown above. Dip brush into the foundation, start applying bit by bit starting with the centre of the face, then work outwards. Make sure you smoothen every area with your brush.

Applying foundation using brush

APPLYING FOUNDATION WITH A SPONGE:

Just like I explained above, put a small amount of foundation on the back of your hand. If using a round sponge put your middle finger in the centre of the sponge partly folding it to create a round surface. Dip sponge into foundation, then apply using a backward and forward movement. Remember to always start from the middle of your face then work outwards.

 Applying foundation using a sponge:

These are the steps to applying your foundation, but then again if you want a flawless skin especially for those with uneven skin tones and blemishes. You can go  further by applying your concealer.

 TIPS:
-Use a paper towel or tissue to absorb excess foundation applied.
-Always wash your brushes after use.

CONCEALING:
Applying concealer is not just about hiding spots and dark circles, it is also about adding radiance to your look.

CHOOSING YOUR CONCEALER:
Always choose a shade that is a bit lighter than your skin tone to add light. Apply after you have applied your foundation, starting from the inner of the corner of your eyes then move downwards over the dark circle usually surrounding the eyes. Also apply on areas that needs coverage (spots, scars, blemishes), around the nose, centre of the forehead and on the top of your cheek bones
Apply with brush or finger tips to ensure you get and even coverage. I personally use finger tips to make sure the concealer is absorbed properly and covers every spot or blemish.

Put a reasonable amount on the back of your hand                             Applying concealer with a brush

Using finger tips

                                          APPLYING YOUR POWDER:
After applying your foundation and concealer, apply powder to set the foundation so you can achieve a flawless look. Powder and foundation are very important for setting your makeup, it gives you that perfect matte finish (it kills shine and stops your makeup from running in together).

You can use either loose or compact powder. Apply using your brush (you can use either a normal powder brush or a kabuki brush). Another way you can apply your powder if you dont have a brush is by using cotton wool pad. Deep in brush or cotton pad into the powder, then dap or shake off the excess away  apply using light pressure so you can achieve a decent coverage.

USING A KABUKI BRUSH

1. Deep in..
2. Shake off excess...                                                                                                           3. Apply...

USING YOUR NORMAL BRUSH

                                        TIPS:
If after applying powder and there is a spillage on your mouth or eyelashes, dip cotton wool pad in lukewarm water and wipe your mouth and lashes too.

FINISHING TOUCHES:
To get a perfect finish, apply blush, eyeliner and mascara to highlight eyes and some lip-gloss.

That's it people! I do hope this post was helpful. Enjoy your holiday
Happy independence Nigeria!!!!!!!!

NATURALS!!!!!

 Hello everyone!
How are you all? I ought to have put up this post two weeks ago but I travelled to my village, and got back a little stressed and tired. Then again, been struggling with it until I got to lagos and I decided I must do this today no matter what. I actually did this makeup two weeks ago for my sis and cuz. I like this look becos its very simple and can be rocked anytime of the day. I would like to add that, to make this look a little bit toned down for a day look you can take off the lashes, but for an evening look you can add the fasle lashes to give you that glam look just like I have done.
